How are you showing up in meetings – especially virtual ones? And what might the other attendees be decoding from your body language?
This was one of the questions we explored yesterday in a session for Global Leaders in Law (GLL) on “Strategies to Influence Perception of You as a Leader”… and was probably the most fun to dig into!

Yes – we all know that body language accounts for a significant part of how others assess what we are saying… but how intentional are we when sitting in back-to-back Zoom/Teams meetings most of the day?

For those that default to screen off – which may be for valid reasons – are you signalling why that is the case? And are you missing an opportunity for people to understand you better?

For those that use a second screen – where is it in relation to your camera? And what message does it send when you are barely looking at the people that you are interacting with or seeking to influence?

Welcome your thoughts and comments as always… Thanks to Abigail Harris and the GLL team – we at Courageous Co. really enjoyed delivering this session!
