We are all familiar with IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and probably EQ (Emotional Quotient). But have you heard of DQ?
DQ, the Decency Quotient, is about doing the right thing – even when no one is looking.
Leaders make decisions every day that will affect employees, clients, shareholders, communities, and even society as a whole. These decisions are constantly under scrutiny – judged for risk management, ethics, commerciality, courage and so much more.
Most of these decisions require IQ-based thinking and skills. Leaders are also now expected to incorporate the EQ of human relatability to guide their thinking.
However, in today’s society is that enough?
We enjoyed partnering with Global Leaders in Law (GLL) to deliver a Mini MBA Webinar for Legal Leaders, facilitated by Adam Daniel MBA. We explored how to develop a blend of IQ+EQ+DQ to build Leadership capability that unites people, enables connection, and generates a greater sense of belonging for Leaders and teams.
Ultimately, it is about driving a culture of humility, integrity and social awareness to have the confidence to know you ‘did the right thing’.
